Who is Your Caretaker?

Your Caretaker is part of the Johns Lyng Group a reputable and award winning building company that has been operating since 1953.

What does Your Caretaker do?

Your Caretaker provides an instant online quoting system that allows you to book and coordinate your home maintenance service needs. It’s all about making your life easier with a set and forget approach that allows everything to just magically happen.

How do I obtain a quote?

Register your property profile with us.

What happens after I register?

Once you have registered with Your Caretaker you have 3 ways to get a quote,

  1. Choose one of our predetermined packages of services.
  2. Build your own package of services.
  3. Select a one off single service.

Even if you elect not to proceed with your quote, you will be allocated your own log in and personal password so you can access your property profile at any time without having the need to re-enter your details.

What services can Your Caretaker organize?

Lawn mowing and edging, garden maintenance, house cleaning, window cleaning, gutter cleaning, BBQ cleaning, bin cleaning and mobile car detailing.

If there is something that you would like completed that is not listed drop us an email and we will endeavour to help.

I don’t like the pre-determined packages that are listed. What are my options?

At Your Caretaker you have the ability to build your own package of services. Simply select the services you are interested in and the frequency and away you go.

You also have the ability to book a one off service if that’s what you are after.

How often can I have a service performed?

You can choose the frequency with which any of the services are performed.

We provide recommendations on what we believe the frequency of any of the services should be in order to maintain your property, but we do understand that everybody’s circumstances are different.

Do I need to be home when a service is scheduled?

No, however if internal home access is required then you will need to make arrangements with our representative as to how access will be gained. Many of our regular customers choose to provide us with a key, however if you don’t feel comfortable with that then someone will need to be at home at least at the start of the service.

Will you remind me when a service is due to occur?

Yes.

We will provide you with an email each Friday when there are services scheduled for the following week together with a reminder SMS the day before a service is due to occur.

What if I need to change a scheduled service booking?

That’s fine. Simply log into our system using your personal password and follow the prompts to reschedule the service.

You cannot reschedule a service after 12pm of the day before it is scheduled, also understanding that the service cannot be scheduled to happen inside 5 working days of the time of rescheduling.

I already have a package in place and would like to book a different service do I need to reregister?

No, simply log in with your password and follow the prompts to add an additional service.

What if something is damaged during a service?

All contractors registered with Your Caretaker are covered with Public Liability Insurance. This means that you are covered from damage or injury to any person (other than the contractor) in your home caused through a contractor’s negligence.

I have replaced half my lawn with paving how do I adjust my package to reflect the right lawn mowing price?

Easy, simply drop us an email and advise us of the change and we can adjust the system to reflect your new situation.

Will the same person turn up to provide each service I have asked to be performed?

Wherever possible we will have the same contractor provide the service requested, noting that we have different contractors providing each of our services,

If you are not happy with one of the contractors performing any particular service, you can contact us via email and we will arrange someone else to attend your home.

I am moving house and I am only halfway through my booked package of services, what do I do?

That’s easy. Simply log in and fill in a new property profile for where you are moving to. Once you have done this you will be able to transfer your existing package to your new property. The system will take into account your new details and adjust the cost of your new package accordingly. If your lawn is smaller at your new property then the price will naturally reflect this.

Can I trust the person coming into my home?

Yes. Our contractors undergo a stringent selection process that includes face to face interviews, reference checks and current police report.

Are you pet friendly?

Yes.

Please let us know if you have a pet and their name, so we can introduce ourselves. If your pet is likely to be aggressive or may hinder a service from taking place we would ask that you secure them prior to the service occurring.
